I don't have kid, either, and don't want to have one because I know I am selfish, I want free time, do what I want with my own time ... like if I want to sleep/watch TV, I just go sleep/watch TV any time and in peace ☺️ Hubby is with me. He once told me, better to have niece/nephew, they come and they go home 😂

I’m 42, no kids, not married, and even though I’m an elementary school teacher, sometimes my days are filled with stress and frustration, especially in regards to behavior, unrealistic expectations and demands from the profession, and just living in survival-mode every day. My health also horribly declined in the past years, and I’m asking the universe to point me in the right direction. I wish you an ocean 🌊 of blessings and continued joy ☀️.

Well my life exactly like yours and I have those feeling and thought you’ve described in your video but I think this is reflect “ depression “ more than happiness, because we are alone have no real purpose what so ever and I think this is the truth we are almost have no life but spending days and nights “observing” life rather than “practicing” a real purpose, don’t get me wrong I’m happy most of times but I know those ideas are coming from this place of “emptiness” and “have no real life”

My best friend and I in high school used to observe our parents and wonder: 'why have kids' ? That was 2 generations ago already.

I believe the retirement crisis will get even worse. Many struggle to save due to low wages, rising prices, and exorbitant rents. With homeownership becoming unattainable for middle-class Americans, they may not have a home to rely on for retirement either.

Such a refreshing take! Im now 31 and for as long as I can remember I have never wanted kids but whenever I say this I am always welcomed with unsolicited opinions/"advice" that 'you'll change your mind one day'. Well my mind hasn't changed yet and I really don't see it changing either. I respect peoples decision to have kids if that is what they want and I wish people would give the same respect back with my decision to not have them. Everyone should live a life they want without judgement.

hmmm ok but you appear to be living in a luxurious home in a beautiful location. And doing a lot of rather expensive hobbies. Some of us have to struggle and compete a lot to experience such ' simple' things. I agree with a your premise. I would say happiness is a choice but the video you show to illustrate your idea looks like most people dream. Like an aspirational home!

This is excellent. Your mindset is reflective of mine after retiring early last year from corporate America and becoming a world traveler. After finally getting the big promotion, the big salary, the big house…I was empty inside. Hard work had only been rewarded with *more* hard work. I sold everything, and buried the “old me” in an unmarked grave. I now bring the best of myself to every day, doing whatever I please.

I'm so happy that I feel like this and that I'm not alone, I love living peaceful and in harmony and not participating in the crazy life. This channel is awesome!
